VJT & Partners' Information, Communications & Technology (ICT) practice group has considerable expertise in a wide range of legal matters arising from various outsourcing transactions. Our lawyers have been involved in every phase of the outsourcing lifecycle: from reviewing a request for proposals and deal structuring, through negotiating and drafting outsourcing contracts, to managing change control and exit procedures.

Our team has advised clients on various structures (from “captive” to BOT), on the outsourcing of different functions (including IT, payroll and call centres) and on a broad range of legal issues, from general contract law matters through bespoke employee transfer solutions to complex taxation aspects.

Our ICT practice group boasts a number of high-profile transactions. We recently represented the Hungarian arm of one of the world’s leading outsourcing service providers. Our lawyers have also worked on a major IT outsourcing deal in the telecommunications sector from the negotiating phase through to exit, a complex public procurement procedure related to the planned introduction of electronic ticketing system by a Hungarian transport company, and recently we provided legal advice on the customer side in connection with the outsourcing of the call centre services of a global financial services provider.

He has advised market leading Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) services providers on their biggest Hungarian projects in the financial services, telecommunications, energy and utility industries, and he also advises leading financial services providers as customers of BPO service providers.
